The Phillips Collection Hilyer Court, Washington, DC 20006

Four Senegalese Artists, Mushana Ali, Fode Camara, Viye Diba, and Piniang, traveled to Washington, D.C., in October 2014, as part of a cultural exchange organized by the State Department's ART In Embassies program.  During the artists' visit to Washington, they painted an original mural at the Phillips Collection, on the exterior wall of the museum's courtyard.

We at Millennium Arts Salon are pleased to have supported this mural project in collaboration with our partners, CulturalDC, International Arts and Artists, The Phillips Collection, Cameroon American Council, and Hillyer Art Space.  This support is consonant with our joint commitment to fostering conversations around international contemporary art, engaging Washington's diverse arts community, and activating space for public art.
