Founders Talk with Juanita and Melvin Hardy

Organized in conjunction with the exhibition, Collecting Community: Millennium Arts Salon at 25 that celebrates Millennium Art Salon’s 25th anniversary, co-founders, Juanita and Melvin Hardy, will talk about the history of the organization, its commitment to advancing cultural literacy through the arts, and reflect on its efforts to build bridges of unity, awareness, and understanding nationally and globally across the ethnocultural landscape.
The founders will be in conversation with Katherine Blood, curator of prints and photographs at the Library of Congress, which in 2023 purchased In Unison: 20 Washington, DC Artists, a print project sponsored by Millennium Arts Salon in 2010 and 2011 that features a portfolio of monoprints created by 20 DC artists.
