Ai WeiWei Lecture at Hirshhorn Museum DC

In 2012, our Millennium Arts Salon International Travel Tour Program took us to China, and one of our stops was the artist compound of artist Ai WeiWei. For those of us who attended our tour, the attached photo recalls the great presentation done at Ai WeiWei’s studio compound in Shanghai.  Remarkable!!!

This globally important artist will be here in Washington for a program at the Hirshhorn Museum on June 27th.

It will be a most fascinating evening and tickets for the program will go fast.  We want to gather together at The Hirshhorn with our friends to have a bit of a reunion and to learn more from this towering intellect, artist, and activist.
Follow the link for RSVP for The Hirshhorn event.  While we are gathered there, we would love to listen to some of your ideas about the state of the arts, culture, and humanities world in DC and the DMV (including Baltimore and Northern Virginia).
Also, look for more information coming soon about our Art, Wine and Theater tour coming in July.  We will have: an overnight trip to the Contemporary American Theater Festival and see two plays; have one of our signature MAS Art Salon Talks; visit Virginia Wineries; have a wine lecture by one of our members who is a Sommelier and author, trained in France with an MBE in Wine; and visit an art collector’s home in the area.  RSVPs and information coming shortly.

NEWS FLASH!  An MAS Artist Salon Talk on “Art and Hip Hop” coming in July. Our salonist has just come back from a date at Giant Stadium in New York (NJ) with a great review in both Essence Magazine and The New York Times.  Venue will be on Capitol Hill.  Serving Nespresso coffee.

Don’t miss this.See you on June 27th at The Hirshhorn.
